Crave is exactly the opposite of one of those corporate-owned, franchise based coffee shops you find at the mall. Opened in 2011 by very friendly Eastern European entrepreneurs, Crave Coffee Bar has developed a fiercely loyal following of clients in Central Tucson. In 2015 they annexed the shop next door, more than doubling their inside seating, providing a very comfortable location to enjoy a coffee by yourself, meet up with a few friends, or even conduct an informal business meeting while enjoying great coffee, tea or snacks.
Along with in-store merchandise offerings, like brewing set ups and Crave ball caps, Crave also offers a unique subscription service available on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly cycle. You have a choice from: five single origin coffees (Guatamala, Sumatra, Brazil, Colombia or Ethiopia); or three house blends (Fatoosh blend, Pristino blend, and they even offer a Decaf blend.)
Current hours are 7AM to 7PM Sunday through Saturday. When the weather cools down, Crave extends its evening hours, and at that point will offer beer and wine as well as their great coffees and teas.
When you walk in to order, you will come up to a glass display case showing off a broad spectrum of largely in-house prepared Eastern European delicacies and hand made sandwiches, not to mention a very friendly employee.
If you don’t have time to come in and enjoy a restful cup of coffee, Crave offers a convenient drive through window where all of their drinks and snacks are available.
Checking out the reviews Crave has received on the various online sites, you will find comments like “very friendly”, “excellent preparation”, “great food offerings”, and similarly impressive statements.
If you have any questions, give them a call at 520-445-6665, but understand that the phone is answered by a very busy barista. This is truly one of those places you need to experience to believe.
Crave Coffee Bar is located in the Midstar Plaza at 4530 E. Broadway Blvd, Tucson. This places them convenient to the Peter Howell, Poets Square, Rincon University, San Clemente, Colonia Allegre, and Linden Park neighborhoods.
