A Tucson family favorite old school style steakhouse out on the West Side of town. A Yelp reviewer said the décor is reminiscent of an old west saloon, with dollar bills tacked to the walls.
Despite what Al Kapp might have suggested in the cartoons, Daisy Mae’s is not related in any way to Lil’ Abner’s Steakhouse up north of town.
Daisy Mae’s Steakhouse has earned 4 Star rating on TripAdvisor (most lower marks are for ambiance-it’ s kind of a cowboy kind of place), and it is ranked #95 of the 1,180 restaurants in Tucson on Tripadvisor. Yelp reviews are very similar, and for the same reasons.
You can check out their complete menu online at TripAdvisor or Yelp, where you will find two appetizers, five steak choices, baby back ribs, pork chops, half chicken and a fish offering. Along with the entrees, Daisy Mae’s offers three sides. The bar offers four varieties of margaritas, an extensive list of domestic, imported and craft beers and the usual cocktails you would expect, as well as Coca Cola soft drinks
One of the biggest aspects mentioned in most of the online reviews is that all of their meat options are cooked outside, over a mesquite wood grill, exactly to order. Several of their tables allow patrons to watch out the window as the grill-master labors over their food.
Daisy Mae’s is open every day from 4 PM to 10 PM., even on holidays. On those holidays, though you may want to call them at (520) 792-8888 to make a reservation, as they can get really busy on those dates.
Located at 2735 W. Anklam Road, Tucson, AZ 85745, Daisy Mae’s Steakhouse is a short drive from
The Estates at Starr Pass, Haven Ridge, Miraflores, Greasewood Park and Santiago Hills neighborhoods.
