If you like food courts but don’t care for the hassle of the mall, here’s your spot. American Eat Co on South Fourth Avenue offers a full bar, live entertainment and events, a small arcade and a choice from seven (sometimes varying) food vendors.
In operation for about 5 years, but ever evolving, American Eat Co offers food, drinks and fun for the whole family. The food court gives you a choice from among Adis Agua Frescas (agua frescas, respados and more), El Tucson (Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas and more), Monster Sonoran Hot Dogs (Sonoran Dogs, duh!), Walters Gourmet Pizzaria (you guessed it), Fatboy Sandos (Sandwiches), GM Kitchen 96 (wide spectrum of meals) and Coop Kitchen (Chicken variations). There is also a coffee shop (Cafe con Leche) and of course, the Market Bar.
Operating hours are: Tuesday through Friday and Sunday: 11 AM to 9 PM, Saturday: 11 AM to 10 PM and Monday: Closed.
The facility consists of the food court itself, with the seven vendors, several long tables with chairs, some booths, and even an area with lounging seating.
The arcade is in the right rear of the building, separated by a half wall, with 5 arcade games.
The Market Bar, on the north side of the building, is a large seating area with numerous televisions, a dance floor and a stage for performances. There are many low top tables with chair seating and several high top tables with stool seating for three or four patrons.
Finally, there is an outside patio with several large round top tables with stool seating. The patio includes two sets of cornhole boxes as well.
The Market Bar offers 16 taps with craft beers, several brands of bottled beer, both red and white wine offerings, ciders and a full bar. This room is available for large or small groups, for both work and social events. This is also where the regularly scheduled entertainment takes place, and where pre-scheduled private parties and charity events happen.
