Barrio El Mebrillo is a historic Tucson neighborhood located between I-10 and El Parque de San Cosme in near downtown Tucson.
Developed in the 1920s, the neighborhood was more than half demolished by construction of the I-10 freeway and later the Tucson Convention Center.
There are fewer than 15 homes remaining in Barrio El Mebrillo and many are Sonoran style single- and multi-family buildings.
