The established neighborhood of Catalina Foothills Estates dates back to the mid-1960s and contains some spectacular single-family homes scattered amid its preserved natural setting.
There are no landscaped common areas or desert cleared for parks and pools. The neighborhood is simply homes scattered in a low density throughout the landscape of the gorgeous north Tucson foothills between East Skyline Drive and East River Road just east of North Oracle Road.
Lot sizes in the neighborhood range from less than a tenth of an acre to more than 1.4 acres. Homes vary widely in size as well, from 1,600 square feet to more than 4,500 square feet.
The area has built up around Catalina Foothills Estates, and as such, there is an endless amount of shopping and dining just outside the neighborhood along Oracle Road, including Tucson Mall.
The Pima County Schools of Rio Vista Elementary and Amphitheater Middle and High schools serve the neighborhood.
