Pueblo Gardens is a south Tucson neighborhood located between AZ-210 and I-10 just minutes from downtown Tucson, major thoroughfares and Pima Air Force Base.
The neighborhood was built in the late 1940s and was the city's first large-scale housing development and first to use wood-frame construction rather than masonry.
The modestly sized homes average just less than 1,100 square feet on small lots of less than one-third of an acre.
Schools that serve Pueblo Gardens include Pueblo Gardens, Cavett, Holladay, Tolson, and Van Buskirk Elementary; Utterback-Magnet, Vail, Roskruge Bilingual Magnet, and Safford K-8 Magnet Middle; and Rincon, Tucson, Palo Verde, Catalina and Pueblo High schools.
