There are currently a few Down Payment Assistance programs (D.P.A.) that can be used to buy Tucson area homes for sale. These programs are currently available in limited quantities due to the fact that funding for D.P.A.s is limited. This is a great opportunity to help one buy a great home in Tucson. The D.P.A. money is granted in the form of a second-mortgage, 5-year, forgivable lien at a 0% interest rate with no required monthly payments! The Down Payment Assistance (D.P.A.) second mortgage can be equal to 10% of the purchase price up to $20,000.
This program can only be used for single-family homes, condos, or town homes. New construction is not allowed. A course given by H.U.D. must be taken with over-the-phone, online, or in-person classes offered, personal income limit is $89,000, purchase price limit is $356,352, and decent credit is required. Basically, one can get in a home for next to nothing down! Why rent when you can buy? Why not upgrade?
Here’s a few homes that don’t exceed price limitations. MANY other homes are available. The following homes are located inCanada Heights which is a subdivision in North West Tucson (which a GREAT part of town to live in). I live in NW Tucson myself. Canada Heights is a subdivision close to hiking, biking, local parks, national parks, healthcare services and a great hospital, dining, and shopping. It falls in a great school district too.
Homes in Canada Heights are 1 or 2 stories done in a contemporary style. Most of the homes were built in the early 90’s, and are very reasonably priced for the quality one gets and the excellent location. Many of the homes have truly spectacular mountain views. Picture yourself living in a great home in great part of town and going out back to enjoy your patio and gaze at our gorgeous mountains. There is no through traffic in Canada Heights, so it’s very quite, peaceful and safe.
