Tucson’s 31st Historic District is a neighborhood bounded on Grant Road on the north, Euclid on the West, Campbell Avenue on the East and Chauncey Lane on the South. It’s a Centrally located neighborhood close to The University of Arizona, the U. of A. Medical Center, and downtown Tucson.
Jefferson Park is a vibrant historic urban neighborhood. Located in the shadow of the University of Arizona, its residents are a mix of owner-occupants and renters. The neighborhood includes three churches and the International School of Tucson, which serves students from pre-school to eighth grade. Walkable and bike-friendly streets, green infrastructure, and friendly neighbors make Jefferson Park one of Tucson’s premier neighborhoods.
Entertainment options abound. There are concerts, University productions, fine and casual dining establishments, drinking spots, and shopping. Jefferson Park is also a convenient location to live as it’s an easy, short drive to the highway connecting one to other areas in town and the airports.
Jefferson Park is a very “livable” neighborhood with tons of local amenities and a reasonable cost of living. The high school graduation rate is high compared to other areas in Tucson and the crime rate is low. Homes are generally slightly higher priced than other areas in Tucson due to the fact it’s a Historic Neighborhood (lower tax rate on historic homes), it’s centrally located, and it’s a community that built organically over time versus a development community.
