The Catalina Foothills area of Tucson, AZ is a fantastic part of the greater-Tucson area. Nestled against the Santa Catalina Mountains, "the foothills" offers a georgeous setting to live in with many amenties close at hand.  Many of the residences located in the Catalina Foothills are in well established neighborhoods mixed with higher-end, new construction and rehabs. Homes in the foothills average over $500,000.  But, there are more "affordable options" (older residences that have not been refurbished and condominimiums as well as a few very nice "track" developments).  The population in the foothills is highly educated.  Most of the people who live in the foothills are executives, managers, or professionals.  Density is low. Schools are fantastic (perhaps the best in greater-Tucson).  And, hiking, biking, fitness facilities, dining, and places of worship are close by.  It's an easy 25 minute commute into downtown Tucson and the U. of A.

Some of the Catalina Foothills neighborhoods are: Skyline Country Club Estates; Catalina Foothills Estates; Pima Canyon Estates; Sin Vacas; Sunrise Presidio Townhomes; Venatan Canyon Mountain Estates; La Paloma Estates; and Sabino Creek.  There are other neighborhoods to explore as well.  These neighborhoods offer a "premium lifestyle" nesteled in a beautiful setting.

The Catalina Foothills area has a very low crime rate and is peaceful and quiet.  Average income level is quite high. As a matter of fact, income levels in the foothills are in the top 15% of America. There is a cultural diversity in the foothills that adds to it's desirability. It's truly a great area to live in, raise children in, and/or retire.
