Pulte Home Company completed its second Oro Valley purchase this week and purchased the lots for the first phase of Saguaros Viejos.
Pulte paid approximately $64,500 for each of the lots in the new community, which is in its first phase of build outs.
Earlier this year, Pulte spent roughly $5 million to plat 45 acres in Oro Valley's Rancho Vistoso.
Saguaros Viejos, which received plan approval in April 2018, is located on the northwest corner of La Cholla Blvd and Naranja Drive. The project will consist of two building phases. Phase one, Saguaros Viejos West, will encompass 56 acres and have lots averaging 30,000 square feet (nearly 0.7 of an acre). Phase two will have approximately 179 new homes on lots averaging 7,100 square feet (0.16 of an acre). The second phase encompasses 85 acres of land.
Both phases will be gated communities with homes limited to two stories. As part of the plan approval, 8 large Saguaros that are 24 feet tall must not be disturbed and will be built around. Additionally, smaller Saguaros on the land will be transplanted.
Various road, water and pedestrian/bike improvements will be made as part of the plan to mitigate impact on pre-existing residents in the area.
