Armory Park was the first residential neighborhood in Tucson, AZ to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This designation qualifies homeowners for significant tax breaks. The neighborhood takes its name from the military plaza that used to be located in this area in the mid 19th century!
The neighborhood features wide avenues, and Queen Anne, Greek Revival, and Territorial styles predominate. The Carnegie Free Library, completed in 1901, is now home to the Tucson Children’s Museum.
Armory Park is close to all that downtown Tucson, AZ has to offer. Restaurants, nightlife, theatre, and fun are everywhere. Also, The University of Arizona is very close by. This is an area where one can walk where they'd like to go unlike many areas in Tucson.
