The Tucson housing market continues to show signs of rapid growth, with the latest piece of evidence being Meritage Homes' plans to build more than a hundred new houses in the southwest corner of the Tucson metropolitan area.
Meritage Homes has announced its intentions to grow its Las Patrias at Star Valley community by tacking on 116 new homes to the community. The new houses are being built specifically to appeal to young, prospective first-time homeowners looking for a nice place to live without having to pay a great deal for them. The houses, all of which are set to be either one or two stories tall, are expected to be priced in the low $300's.
The new community is expected to be built just to the house of Highway 86 in Tucson, and in the midst of the Tucson Unified School District.
“Tailored to Tucson, we offer several different floor plans that will appeal to families of all sizes, and Star Valley is a beautiful community situated in a revered part of town,” Jeff Grobstein, Meritage’s division president for Tucson, told Inside Tucson Business. “We are excited to bring our industry-leading homes and transformative design process to the growing neighborhood.”
