Sabino Canyon is a significant canyon located in the Santa Catalina Mountains and the Coronado National Forest north of Tucson, Arizona.
A primary draw of this canyon recreation area is the chance to ride to the top of the canyon on the electric tram (the Sabino Canyon Crawler), so even those who struggle to hike can enjoy these pristine outdoor views. Many visitors ride the tram up and either walk back down the paved roadway or take the dirt trails. There is also the option to hop on or off the tram at any point en-route up or back down the hillside
There are a few things to be aware of going in. There are fees for parking, for the use of the park, and a separate fee to ride the tram. It is advised to buy the tram tickets in advance online, as they tend to sell out. Currently there remains a strict mask rule on the tram, which could change at any time.
