Since its opening in 1983, Bob Dobbs has been a favorite of the denizens of Tucson, whether UofA students or not. The employees and clients alike consider it to be the “Cheers” of Tucson. Both the employees and the clients of Bob Dobbs present a friendly atmosphere.
Bob Dobbs offers 8 tap beers (including a properly poured Guinness), some two dozen different bottled beers, and a limited selection of liquors and wines. The food menu offers a broad selection of better than normal pub fate, including several burgers, an impressive selection of salads, appetizers, soups, wings, sandwiches, hot dogs, fish and chip baskets, even a weekend breakfast buffet, daily food specials 7 days a week, and more.
Seating includes 6 seat tables with benches, low top tables, ample bar seating, and even two outdoor patios with picnic tables and benches, where smoking is allowed.
Among the event offerings at Bob Dobbs you will find Happy Hours Monday through Friday from 3PM to 7PM, and again from 10PM to Closing, Karaoke on Saturday evenings.

Bob Dobbs gets mixed reviews on Yelp, but this seems to be largely due to the crowds that take over the neighborhood tavern during UofA events.
Not only is Bob Dobbs located in the Historic Sam Hughes neighborhood at 2501 E 6th Street, it is surrounded by the University, Rincon Heights, Catalina Vista, Blenman-Elm, Miramonte, El Conquistador and Broadmoor Broadway Neighborhoods.
