Bashful Bandit Barbecue will bring backyard barbecue to midtown Tucson! Smoked meats in the all-wood, open fire tradition of Central Texas Barbecue, combined with the flavors of Arizona. Preserving the historic charter of the original Bashful Bandit building (including the full Bar!), they have added an extensive outdoor patio to bring people together over great barbecue and drink while enjoying watching the pitmasters do what they do best.

Closed for two years to do their remodel, they opened for business on Wednesday December 27^th, with initial operating hours of Wednesday - Sunday, 10:30 am - 9:00 pm. Bashful Bandit Barbecue is a far cry from the rough-and-tumble biker/dive bar that sat on the corner of North Dodge and East Speedway for decades.They now offer ample indoor and outdoor seating, in a family friendly environment. They did keep some of the old interior wallpaper and colors, and of course, the old wooden bar with customer names carved into it.

One of the Yelp reviews from the soft opening before Christmas hails the brisket, pulled pork, potato salad, mac and cheese and the mole barbecue sauce.
